Terms & Conditions

Cross Surface Hockey Development ltd.

By registering for programs or services with Cross Surface Hockey Development Ltd (“Cross Surface,” “CSHD”, “we,” “our,” or “us”), you (“Participant” and/or “Parent/Guardian”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

Registration & Eligibility

  1. Registration is required for all participants in our programs.

  2. All participants must meet the age, skill, and other eligibility requirements as specified for each program.

  3. Parent or guardian consent is required for participants under 18 years of age.

Payments & Refunds

  1. Payment is due in full 14 days prior to the start of the scheduled session, unless otherwise stated such as during CSHD drop-in sessions.

  2. Invoices will be sent via email approximately 3 weeks prior to session start. Payment must be made via e-transfer to crosssurfacedevelopment@gmail.com.

  3. Late payments may result in rescheduling or cancellation of sessions at our discretion.

  4. Refunds are provided according to the following:

    • Full refunds for cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the session.

    • 50% refunds for cancellations made 7–14 days prior.

    • No refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days prior.

  5. Special cases may be considered at the discretion of Cross Surface

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  1. Cancellations must be submitted via email to crosssurfacedevelopment@gmail.com.

  2. Cross Surface reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather, facility closures, or force majeure events.

Code of Conduct & Safety

  1. Participants and guardians must follow all program rules and instructions provided by coaches and staff.

  2. Cross Surface reserves the right to remove participants from sessions for unsafe or disruptive behavior without refund.

  3. All participants are encouraged to use proper safety equipment as required by program guidelines.

  4. CSHD has a zero tolerance for behaviour such as fighting or other malicious actions. Participants found conducting this type of behaviour during, before, or after activities with CSHD will be removed from the program. No refund will be granted.

Liability & Assumption of Risk

  1. Participation in hockey and related activities carries inherent risks. Participants and guardians acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume them.

  2. Cross Surface Hockey Development Ltd, its staff, coaches, and volunteers are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during participation, except where required by law.

  3. Participants are responsible for personal belongings and equipment.

  4. A participation waiver must be completed previous to participating with any CSHD sessions, events or programs by either the individual or the parent/guardian of the participant.

Media & Photography

  1. Cross Surface may take photos or videos during sessions for promotional purposes.

  2. By participating, you consent to the use of your image or your child’s image in promotional materials unless written notice is provided to opt out.

Privacy

Personal information is collected and used according to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
 

Governing Law

  1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and applicable federal laws of Canada.

  2. Any disputes arising from participation in programs will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.

By signing or submitting this registration, you acknowledge that you:

  • Have read and understood these Terms and Conditions, including the Payment, Refund, and Liability sections.

  • Agree to abide by all rules and policies of Cross Surface Hockey Development Ltd.

  • Accept all associated risks of participation.
